Our Story

Our Story -Chase

Whitney and I met a couple of years ago through a friend. We spent that time as friends, growing closer as we began to appreciate the little things about each other.

One summer we both found ourselves single and God helped us out a bit. Turns out, we were going on separate trips to Disneyland at the same time. We took a break from our groups one day to meet up. That was when we fell in love. Late at night in Star Wars land we basically had the park to ourselves. It was magical.

A couple months later we were at an Old Dominion concert, a birthday gift of mine courtesy of Whitney. I was having so much fun that I started thinking about the upcoming Jonas Brothers concert she was going to be at. I decided to look for tickets. Once again, God gave me a gentle nudge. The entire section was sold out except the seat right next to Whitney. So we went to the next concert together. Another amazing night.

So I decided to feel out whether she was indeed interested in being more than friends. I invite her to a movie but make no mention of bringing anyone else. She doesn't either. We quickly determine we are both interested and decide to plan a real date. We go out to dinner, complete with balloon animals, and eventually go to the water tower and talk for hours. It was freezing but we didn't care.

We made it official that night and within three days we said we loved each other. Christmas was amazing. We planned more concerts together. Pretty soon each day was filled with more of each other than the last.

Then on the weekend of July 4th, 2024 we took our very first trip to Lopez Island as a couple. How blissfully unaware she was at the suprise I had in store. As the fireworks show began, I got down on one knee and the rest is history.
